In 2017, the construction of Longwan campus was completed.
In 2013, the hospital was renamed The Second Affiliated Hospital and Yuying Children’s Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University.
In 2009, the Orthopedic Hospital in the Second Affiliated Hospital of WMC and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in the Second Affiliated Hospital of WMC were established.
In 2006, the Nanpu campus of the Second Affiliated Hospital of WMC was set up.
In 2004, the children’s hospital was entitled as Zhejiang Provincial Yuying Hospital by the Health Bureau of Zhejiang Province.
In 1993, the hospital was recognized as a tertiary Grade B hospital.
In 1991, Taiwan compatriot Mr. He Chaoyu and his wife Ms. Huang Meiying donated HK $15 million to build the outpatient and ward building of the children's hospital.
In 1988, the name of Affiliated Children’s Hospital was added to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical College.
In 1982, the hospital was named The Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical College.
In 1981, the hospital was renamed the Affiliated Clinic of Wenzhou Medical College with focuses on Pediatrics and Orthopedics.
In 1976, the Bethune Clinic of Wenzhou Medical College was established (in the campus), with clinic departments of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, E.N.T., TCM, and other departments such as Radiology, Laboratory, Gastroscope, Electrocardiogram, Pharmacy, etc.
